- A recent Ph.D. degree (completed no more than 5 years ago);

The International Research Center for Nanophotonics and Metamaterials, ITMO University, invites applications for up to two positions in Physics of Coordination Polymers. These positions would be at the assistant level with the potential contract prolongation. The project covers but not limited by synthesis of 2D and 3D metal-organic frameworks; characterization with X-ray and HRTEM; study of the interaction of light with metal-organic frameworks in linear and nonlinear regimes. Candidates must have PhD in physics, chemistry, excellent track record of publications, as well as high motivation to work on interdisciplinary project.
ITMO University (St. Petersburg, Russia) offers positions of researcher at the International Research Center of Nanophotonics and Metamaterials (http://metalab.ifmo.ru/), led by Professor Pavel Belov. Scientific groups of the
Center specialize in the following directions:
- dielectric and quantum nanophotonics
- hybrid materials
- topological photonics
- optical and microwave metamaterials and metasurfaces
- meta-devices for MRI
- wireless power transmission
We have strong cooperation with many acknowledged universities, including Texas University in Dallas, University of Utrecht, University of Aalto, University of Iceland, Nanyang Technological University, Australian National University within the framework of research and educational projects. The Research Center has won two mega-grants (a program to attract leading world scientists into Russian research and educational organizations), several Russian grants and the European Horizon 2020 grant. The Center has state-of-the-art experimental and computing equipment for conducting high-level scientific researches (plasmonics, dielectric nanophotonics, nonlinear optics), as well as for implementing business-oriented projects. Among the latter – the development of wireless radio frequency coils for MRI (the work is recognized by the ISMRM community at the conference of the same name), wireless power transmission, solar cells based on perovskites, as well as perovskite LEDs, etc. We have significant scientific resources and international level achievements proven by publications in high-impact journals, such as Nature Photonics, Chemical Society Reviews, Advanced Materials, Advanced Function Materials, ACS Nano, Nano Letters, Physical Review Letters, Laser & Photonics Reviews, Nanoscale, ACS Photonics and etc.
