The University of Luxembourg is a multilingual, international research University.

The University of Luxembourg is looking within its Faculty of Science, Technology and Communication and within the Life Sciences Research Unit for a:

Postdoctoral researcher in Microbiology or Molecular and Cellular Biology (m/f)

The Molecular Disease Mechanisms (MDM) group at the University of Luxembourg (UL) aims at understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying chronic inflammation and colorectal cancer development. We are particularly interested in understanding the role of the microbiome in CRC, a field that is rapidly gaining momentum. In particular, microbiome-derived metabolites have been suggested to participate in tumor progression and metastasis dissemination by inducing epigenetic changes leading to epithelial to mesenchymal transition. We are looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral researcher to join our team and drive projects on microbiome and tumor metabolism. A strong background in microbiology and cancer metabolism are highly encouraged. Skills in bioinformatics are a strong plus.

Research area/domain
