Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m/x)
The position will initially be limited to a two-year contract (third-party funded project).
The German Hodgkin Study Group (GHSG), chaired by Prof. Dr. med. A. Engert, is the world’s leading research group in the field of Hodgkin lymphoma. The results of our multicentre clinical trials have been instrumental in continuously improving the prognosis of patients with Hodgkin lymphoma for nearly 30 years. Organizationally, we are part of the Department I for Internal Medicine of the University of Cologne. The GHSG laboratory, headed by Dr. Sven Borchmann, is active in translational research in the field of Hodgkin lymphoma. Major parts of the research program focus on liquid biopsies and minimal residual disease diagnostics.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conduct research of significant scientific value
Publish in peer-reviewed, scientific, high-impact journals
Submit applications for grants for funding of research projects
Foster new international collaborations with academic and industry partners
Ph.D., MD. or equivalent
Experience and related publications in one or more relevant areas (e.g., liquid biopsies, cancer genomics, lymphoma research)
Excellent communication skills
Strong team spirit
High motivation to solve complex problems creatively and independently
