Vanderbilt Center for Kidney Disease, Division of Nephrology

Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville TN

Three (3) postdoctoral fellowships are immediately available within the Division of Nephrologyto investigate molecular mechanisms of renal fibrosis and develop gene and cell therapies for kidney disease.Individuals will lead efforts to study novel transgenic and injury animal models using a wide range of cutting-edge technologies from genetics, Crispr/Cas9 and other gene transfer/modification technologies to protein biochemistry, mass spectrometry and proteomics.

For more information, please visit websites:

Dr. Lauren Woodard: Kidney regeneration through genome modification and transcription factor reprogramming

Dr Matthew H. Wilson: Engineering cell and gene therapy for kidney disease

Dr Roberto Vanacore: Extracellular matrix and collagen biochemistry in renal fibrosis and chronic kidney disease.

Laboratories are housed within the Division of Nephrologyand are part of the Vanderbilt Center for Kidney Diseaseand Center for Matrix Biology, which provide and excellent collaborative environment to learn about kidney research.
