Our group focuses on the role of innate immune cells in organ injury after ischemia contributing to the pathophysiology of diseases such as myocardial ischemia and reperfusion and acute respiratory distress syndrome. Our overall research goal is to develop novel therapeutic strategies for critically ill. As part of the German Universities Excellence Initiative, the University of Tübingen offers a unique environment to achieve this goal.
We are looking for a scientist who will investigate immune cell-cell interactions, hypoxia-signaling, and sterile inflammation using a broad range of in vitro and in vivo models. The candidate should be experienced in cellular biology, mol-biol. techniques (DNA, RNA, protein analysis, flow cytometry, immunochemistry etc.) and at best in animal studies.
As part of a DFG-funded project, the position will be available from January 2020 onwards for a period of three years with the option of extension. The University of Tübingen provides structured support to establish a successful career as an independent scientist. In agreement with current regulations, the position is on the TVL-O-E13 for public employees. We offer remuneration in accordance with TV-L (collective wage agreement for the Public Service of the German Federal States) in addition to all the customary benefits granted to employees working in Public Services.
