A person in this position will determine the molecular basis for cell quiescence using Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model organism. This person will use molecular biological, molecular genetic, biochemical and genomic approaches. These experiments will require extensive experience in these approaches, and therefore Ph.D. is a prerequisite for the position.
A post-doctoral research fellow poition is available in the Tsukiyama Lab in the Basic Sciences Division, which studies chromatin, the complex of DNA and proteins that make up our chromosomes, and how its structure controls essential processes that take place on DNA. The responsibilities of this position will be to determine how cell quiescence is achieved using Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model organism.
A Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry or other scientific discipline is required, as well as experience in working with Saccharomyces cerevisiae and associated molecular biological, molecular genetic, biochemical assays and genomic approaches.
To apply, please submit a CV and a cover letter that describes your research accomplishments as well as your interest in the Tsukiyama laboratory research program.
