Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is one of the world’s premier cancer centers, committed to exceptional patient care, leading-edge research, and superb educational programs. The blending of research with patient care is at the heart of everything we do. The institution is a comprehensive cancer center whose purposes are the treatment and control of cancer, the advancement of biomedical knowledge through laboratory and clinical research, and the training of scientists, physicians and other health care workers.

The Rudin & Sen Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated and successful individual with a strong background in immunology with an emphasis on the cancer immunology. The laboratory at MSKCC, co-directed by Charles Rudin MD PhD and Triparna Sen PhD, is broadly interested in the development and testing of novel therapeutic approaches to lung cancer in preclinical models including patient-derived xenografts.

The successful candidate will pursue an ongoing project to understand the molecular resistance pathways in tumors that fail to respond to current immunotherapy approaches. The major goal of this project will be to understand resistance as a dynamic interconnected system and to identify the optimal nodes for therapeutic intervention. The project is focused on dissecting the molecular mechanisms used for tumor immune evasion based on the cutting-edge technical platforms including multicolor flow cytometry, Multiplex imaging and Single-cell Seq, etc. The candidates are also encouraged to explore new research areas and seek independent funding as part of their own career development.
