The Rudin & Sen Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated and successful individual with a strong background in immunology with an emphasis on the cancer immunology. The laboratory at MSKCC, co-directed by Charles Rudin MD PhD and Triparna Sen PhD, is broadly interested in the development and testing of novel therapeutic approaches to lung cancer in preclinical models including patient-derived xenografts.
The successful candidate will pursue an ongoing project to understand the molecular resistance pathways in tumors that fail to respond to current immunotherapy approaches. The major goal of this project will be to understand resistance as a dynamic interconnected system and to identify the optimal nodes for therapeutic intervention. The project is focused on dissecting the molecular mechanisms used for tumor immune evasion based on the cutting-edge technical platforms including multicolor flow cytometry, Multiplex imaging and Single-cell Seq, etc. The candidates are also encouraged to explore new research areas and seek independent funding as part of their own career development.
The ideal candidate should have:
• A PhD or MD/PhD within the last three years
• An established expertise in computational biology – preferred
• A proven academic publication track record, including first-authored publications at high profile journals
• Excellent scientific, organizational, record-keeping, problem-solving skill
