A postdoctoral research associate position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Konstantinos Chronis at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The laboratory is broadly interested in Stem Cell Biology with a particular interest in cell fate specification and reprogramming, and how sequence-specific DNA binding transcription factors decode mammalian genomes to generate diverse cell identities (Chronis et al Cell 2017 and Cell Stem Cell 2019). We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual with no more than 3 years after obtaining their Ph.D. degree with interest and expertise in any of the following areas (1) Stem Cell and iPSC biology (2) HSC biology (3) Epigenetics and Chromatin Structure (4) Genomics and Gene Regulation (5) Bioinformatics. A strong publication record is expected. The successful candidate should be willing to work with mouse models. Previous experience in mammalian stem cell culture, mouse genetics, chromatin and TF immunoprecipitation, MPRA and single cell methodologies, and cell biology assays (FACS, IF) will be given preferential consideration.
