Postdoctoral Research Associate in The Design, Discovery, Characterisation and Understanding of New Organic Materials GRADE 7 (6 POSTS)

£35,327 – £40,928 pa

Three year postdoctoral positions are available for exceptional candidates with high-level skills in the experimental or computational design, synthesis and measurement of new inorganic materials. Candidates should have a strong publication track record and demonstrated commitment to research excellence.

These three year positions will form part of an interdisciplinary team working with computer scientists on the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council funded Programme Grant “Digital Navigation of Chemical Space for Function” to develop a new approach to materials design and discovery exploiting both machine learning and symbolic Artificial Intelligence, demonstrated by the realisation of new functional materials.

We welcome applications from ambitious researchers with the skills to contribute to the project goal across chemistry, physics and materials science.

The project environment will facilitate the development of new skills and the demonstration of creativity and leadership. You should have a PhD in Physics, Chemistry or Materials Science.
