Postdoctoral Research Associate in Cyanobacterial Synthetic Biology

A Postdoctoral Research Associate position in cyanobacterial synthetic biology is available in the laboratory of Dr Alistair McCormick at the School of Biological Sciences, University of Edinburgh. We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to lead the development of the first mutant library and plasmid resource for the model cyanobacterium Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803. This is a collaborative project funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) between the University of Edinburgh (UoE) and the University of East Anglia (UEA), and their two local DNA foundries: the Edinburgh Genome Foundry and the Earlham DNA Foundry.

Salary: £33,199 – £39,609 per annum
