Postdoctoral Positions in Chromatin and Nuclear Envelope Biology - Koehler Lab

Max Perutz Labs

Vienna, Austria

OUR RESEARCH

How does liquid phase separation regulate gene expression and nuclear organization?

What is the biological function of fat storage inside the nucleus?

How are gigantic nuclear pores inserted into the nuclear envelope?

Each of these questions addresses important contemporary puzzles in biology. Our goal is to shed light on these problems to understand the basic principles of how eukaryotic cells protect, decode and regulate their genome. We combine biochemical reconstitution with structural, proteomic and genetic studies as well as high-resolution microscopy, to fuel our search for fundamental discoveries. Projects are available in all of the aforementioned areas and beyond.

Examples of our work: Gallego et al. NATURE, 2020; Romanauska & Koehler CELL, 2018; Schneider et al. CELL, 2015.
