A NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available in Dr. Sean X. Li laboratory at Department of Surgery (Urology) at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital. Li laboratory is embedded in the rich research environment of the Longwood Medical Area. The position will help hone research, critical thinking and scientific writing skills. It will also provide incredible opportunities to work on translational disease models while being supported by a community of talented clinicians and researchers. There will be many opportunities to collaborate with various laboratories within Harvard Medical School, Boston Children’s Hospital, and the surrounding clinical and research institutions. Ongoing projects in Li Laboratory include, but are not limited to, the impacts of genetic, epigenetic, immunity and microbiota on the gender disparities in cancer and infection (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6007159/). Key qualifications include:
• A Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree
• A strong track record of productivity
• Experience in cancer biology, tumor immunology, infection, microbiology, epigenetics, and/or molecular biology
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
