Our laboratory studies the mechanisms regulating stem cells and tumor heterogeneity (See recent publications: Van Keymeulen Nature 2015, Nassar Nature Medicine 2015,
Sánchez-Danés Nature 2016, Latil, Cell Stem Cell 2017, Sánchez-Danés Nature 2018, Lescroart Science 2018, Pastushenko Nature 2018, Dekoninck Cell 2020).
In this project, we will define in a comprehensive and integrated manner, the identities and functions of the different tumor states at single-cell resolution and define the mechanisms that regulate the transition between tumor states that are responsible for tumor progression, metastasis, and resistance to therapy.
The project is funded by the WELBIO, the FNRS and the European Research Council (ERC).
The positions will be funded for 3 years with possibility of extension.
Applicants must have a PhD degree and a strong track record in molecular and cellular biology or bioinformatics with at least a good, peer-reviewed first author paper published or in press. For the biologist, previous experience with mouse genetics, bioimaging, molecular and cellular biology is essential. For the bioinformatician, previous experience with single cell sequencing, Chip-Seq and ATAC-seq data analysis is required.
