A Postdoctoral position is open in the Department of Neuroscience at the Pasteur Institute. We propose to carry out advanced two-photon or in vivo patch-clamp recordings in the cortex of mice. This is to follow up on our paper in Nature Medicine (Koukouli et al, 2017, PMID: 28112735).
The fellow will carry out recordings in deeper layers of cortex focusing on human polymorphisms of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor.

The appointment is for 18 months initially, with a possible extension for another 18 months.
Experience with in vivo two-photon imaging or in vivo patch-clamp is required. Alternatively, we will consider candidates with a strong background in slice electrophysiology and willingness to work in vivo.
