A post-doctoral position will be available at the Center for Advanced Biomaterials for Health Care, IIT@CRIB in Naples (www.iit.it/centers/cabhc-crib-napoli) in the Tissue Electronics Research Line.
The Center integrates multidisciplinary expertise ranging from Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Biology and Pharmacology. Laboratories are equipped with cutting-edge instrumentations for molecular and material synthesis, micro- and nano-fabrication, surface and morphological characterization, along with state-of-the-art equipment for cell and molecular biology
We are looking for a postdoctoral candidate with strong experimental experience, who will participate in a project on chip-based electrophysiology of 3D cellular assemblies working at the interface between biological and electrical systems.
The ideal candidate should have:
- a PhD in Engineering/Material Science, or related disciplines with a strong academic background and publication record;
- Consolidate experience on neuronal/cardiac in vitro electrophysiology, preferably chip-based technology (multi electrode arrays, transistors), signal acquisition, processing and analysis (Matlab, Python).
- Sound knowledge of characterization of chip-cell coupling and cell-material interface
Experience in cell culture will be also taken in great consideration.
More information on the research group and related activities can be found at www.iit.it/it/research/lines/tissue-electronics
He/She will be offered a contract with competitive remuneration depending on candidate’s experience.
To apply (deadline is October 30th 2019) please send a cover letter outlining experience and qualifications for the position, CV and names of 2 referees to Dr. Francesca Santoro (email@example.com) quoting “Postdoctoral position in electrophysiology of 3D cellular systems CB 76795” in the subject line.
