Post-Doctoral or Research Scholar Position in Immunotherapy of Cancer at Roswell Park Cancer Comprehensive Cancer Center
The Department of Immunology at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY, USA is seeking a creative and highly motivated scientist for a Post-doctoral or Research Scholar position. Our research focuses on the mechanisms of anti-tumor efficacy of immunotherapeutic approaches against platinum-refractory tumors using oncolytic virotherapy in combination with checkpoint inhibitors. The overall objective of this study is to explore changes in the dynamic interactions between malignant and stromal cells that reprogram the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment for a long-term control of tumor growth by therapeutic approaches.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and perform experiments including tumor cell culture, T cell culture, T cell phenotype and function assays, flow cytometry, ELISA, DNA cloning, viral vector design and production, gene expression assays and mouse models of disease.
- Perform immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence assays.
- Perform pre-clinical validation of immunotherapies in mouse models.
- Analyze and interpret data; synthesize, compile and summarize results in reports.
This position requires a Master of Science degree or a PhD degree in Microbiology, Immunology or equivalent. Outstanding verbal and written abilities are required.
