Postdoctoral research positions are available in the Chromatin Biology laboratories of Dr. Ian Davis at the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and Dr. Samantha Pattenden at the Center for Integrative Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery. These positions explore questions at the intersection of Cancer and Chromatin Biology, Drug Discovery and Bioinformatics and offer an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development and application of new technologies and tools to explore fundamental chromatin regulatory mechanisms.

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill offers an exceptional environment to explore Chromatin Biology and Drug Discovery. Over 40 laboratories focused on epigenetics, the Center for Integrative Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery in the Eshelman School of Pharmacy, and the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, together provide opportunities for collaboration across basic research and translational projects.

Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a related field. The most successful candidates will be passionate about making fundamental discoveries in the life sciences, have a strong work ethic, strong communication skills, a desire to be a leader in their chosen field, and will enjoy working in a team environment to achieve common research goals. Qualified Postdoctoral Fellows will have the opportunity to apply to several T32 training grant opportunities, including the recently established NCI-funded Cancer Epigenetics Training Program.
