The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine of the Weill Cornell Medical College is seeking candidates for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Associate in vascular biology and hematology research in the laboratories of Dr. Teresa Sanchez, PhD, (Dept. Pathology, Vascular Biology Division and Feil Family Brain and Mind Research Institute) and Michael Kluk (Dept. of Pathology, Division of Immunopathology). The candidate must have experience in molecular, cell biology and in vivo models of disease. Our research team studies the molecular and cellular mechanisms governing endothelial dysfunction with a special emphasis on exploring the therapeutic potential of the endothelium to prevent exacerbation of tissue injury and promote repair in various pathological conditions (e.g. systemic inflammatory response syndrome/sepsis, stroke and other cerebrovascular diseases). We routinely use molecular and cellular biology approaches, as well as mouse models of vascular injury in combination with human studies. The candidate will join a dynamic and multidisciplinary research team and will have the opportunity to conduct basic, translational and drug discovery research in the vascular biology and molecular hematology fields. Applicants must have recently obtained a PhD in Molecular, Cell Biology, Neuroscience, or Immunology, and have a good track record of publications. Individuals who are interested in this position please send 1) your Curriculum Vitae 2) statement of research interests and 3) the names of 2-3 references to Dr. Teresa Sanchez (email@example.com) and Dr. Michael Kluk (firstname.lastname@example.org).
