A Postdoctoral Fellow position is immediately available to study the role of interleukins and caspase signaling in vascular wall remodeling and pathological angiogenesis. Experience in two or more of the following areas is preferred: cloning, protein-protein interactions, confocal microscopy/live-cell imaging, atherosclerosis, and pathological retinal angiogenesis. Candidate with publications as first authors in journals with 4 or more impact factors are preferred.

The duties for the position include culturing and maintenance of primary and passaged cell lines, conducting experiments related to a funded NIH R01 grant, reading and knowing the relevant literature, attending and presenting at scientific meetings, and writing drafts of manuscripts. Experience in animal experiments is desired. The successful candidate will also be responsible for presenting data and techniques in the laboratory meetings and maintain integrity and organization of experimental data. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to design his/her own related experiments, develop new techniques, and develop new collaborations with other researchers.
