A postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately in Population Health Intelligence (PopHI) Lab at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center–Oak Ridge National Lab (UTHSC-ORNL), Center for Biomedical Informatics, Department of Pediatrics, College of Medicine, UTHSC.

The successful candidate will work with Dr. Arash Shaban-Nejad and a multi-disciplinary team of researchers on implementing and administrating a multi-phase study to improve HPV vaccination uptake among adolescents through ethnographic observations and in-depth interviews and evaluating the efficacy of implemented intervention. The postdoctoral fellow will contribute to and oversee the implementation of surveys, interviews, field investigations, qualitative and quantitative assessments, and analyze epidemiological and surveillance data related to assigned project.

Incumbent will conduct project reviews and periodic update checks with various project staff members to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget restraints.

Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (e.g. Epidemiology, Public Health, etc.) and a strong research track record, excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills, strong project management skills. Experience in implementing vaccine related intervention are highly desirable.

This appointment will initially be for 12 months with a possibility of an extension up to 36 months subject to performance and availability of funding.
