Regensburg Center for Interventional Immunology

Regensburg, Germany

The RCI – Regensburg Center for Interventional Immunology (foundation under public law) is a novel
biomedical research center focusing on translational immunology in the fields of cancer
immunotherapy, transplant rejection and autoimmunity. The objective of the RCI is to develop effective
cellular immunotherapies in these areas.

The Chair for Functional Immune Cell Modulation at RCI, Prof. Luca Gattinoni, is recruiting a highly
motivated and interactive

Postdoctoral fellow (all gender)

reference number LG-2019-6

to study the molecular and metabolic mechanisms regulating T cell dierentiation and memory
formation. The position is initially limited to two years with the possibility to be continued and is
remunerated on the TV-L salary scale (EG 13 TV-L).

Projects will focus on the regulation of T cell self-renewal and multipotency by transcription factors,
microRNAs and metabolic enzymes. Findings emerging from these studies will be used to enhance the
ecacy of cancer immunotherapies based on the adoptive transfer of CAR/TCR-engineered T cells.
Interested candidates must have a doctoral degree with less than ve years of relevant postdoctoral
experience, and have a background in immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry or a related
discipline. Excellent publication record along with experience in mouse models will be considered as
distinct advantages.

The RCI follows the goal of professional equality for all genders and therefore strongly encourages
qualified women to apply. In addition, the RCI supports work-family balance.

The RCI is an equal opportunity employer and candidates with disabilities will be given preference,
provided they are equally qualified.

If we have awakened your interest and you are open to new professional challenges, we would be
delighted to receive an informative application from you.

Please send your full application including a statement of interest, curriculum vitae, certicates,
expected availability date, a list of publications and 2–3 references by e-mail to Prof. Dr. Philipp
