Dr. Yi Xing’s lab (https://xinglab.org/) at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the University of Pennsylvania (Penn) is recruiting postdoctoral fellows in the areas of RNA genomics and long-read sequencing. Our lab is broadly interested in computational biology and genomics of RNA processing and regulation, as well as their applications to human genetics, precision medicine, and cancer therapy. We have recently invested significant efforts and resources in developing novel long-read based methods for mammalian transcriptome analysis, and their applications to important problems in RNA biology, human genetics, and immuno-oncology.
Successful candidates should have outstanding research experience and publication record, especially in the areas of RNA molecular biology and genomics. Prior experience with long-read sequencing technologies (Oxford Nanopore, PacBio) and computational biology is a plus but not required. The postdoctoral fellows will work in an integrated experimental and computational research environment. Highly qualified candidates with prior postdoc experience may be considered for appointment at more senior levels (e.g. research scientist).
