The Babcock lab is currently looking to hire a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our group at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA!
We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join us beginning in the Summer of 2019 (flexible start date).
Our lab uses Drosophila to better understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases. Our specific areas of interest include synapse dysfunction and the selective vulnerability of neuronal populations.
Prospective candidates must have a Ph.D. in biology, neuroscience, genetics, or a related field by the position start date. Previous work using Drosophila is preferred but not required. We are particularly interested in candidates with previous experience using molecular biology techniques and genome editing using CRISPR/Cas9.
Compensation for this position will follow NIH postdoctoral stipend levels.
Interested candidates should send the following to Dr. Daniel Babcock at
1) A cover letter describing previous research experience and specific scientific interests
2) Current CV
3) Contact information for three references
