Postdoc in experimental quantum transport at Lund University.
NanoLund http://www.nano.lu.se) is the major interdisciplinary research environment within nanoscience and nanotechnology at Lund University, Sweden. The research focuses on developing and studying low-dimensional semiconductor structures for novel electronics and optical applications, and uses in quantum technologies.
The topic of the postdoc position is to study electron transport in coupled quantum dots and nanowires with controlled crystal structure, and to explore the physics of quasiparticles emerging when these interact with superconducting contacts. The position is part of a larger collaborative project with a purpose to develop and study new types of semiconductor materials and nanostructures based on 3D atomic-level design.
Candidates should have a PhD in physics, with experience in low temperature quantum transport measurements and fabrication of nanostructures.
The position is open from January 1, 2020, or as per arrangement.
Terms of employment
This is a full-time, fixed-term employment of a maximum of 2 years. The period of employment is determined in accordance with the `Agreement on fixed-term employment as a post-doctoral fellow’ between Lund University, SACO-S, OFR/S and SEKO.
