Masonic Medical Research Laboratory (MMRL)

Postdoctoral Fellow in Cardiovascular Epigenomics

Masonic Medical Research Institute (MMRI), United States

Utica, NY, United States

The Masonic Medical Research Institute ( is looking for enthusiastic candidates to join the laboratory of Dr. Nathan Tucker ( ). Successful candidates will join a research program which focuses on mechanistically understanding the effects of human variation (such as that identified by GWAS) on cardiovascular phenotypes.

Specific projects include defining epigenomic changes in normal and disease conditions, single-cell RNA sequencing for discovery and definition of novel cell states in human disease, large-scale CRISPR-mediated screening of coding and non-coding variant function, assessment of disease-causing variation in model organisms, and intersection of all previously mentioned data with human population genetics and health outcome data.

Our group has extensive national and international collaborations, including groups at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, Massachusetts General Hospital, and the University of Pennsylvania.
