Duke-NUS Medical School was established as a landmark collaboration between two world-ranking institutions of higher education: Duke University and the National University of Singapore (NUS), with the objective of providing innovative education and impactful research to enhance the practice of medicine in Singapore.
Dr. Sun Lei’s laboratory in the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disorders Programme (CVMD) is searching for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow for the ongoing research in dissecting the RNA-regulatory network in metabolic diseases. His studies are revealing a sophisticated RNA-regulatory network governing the development and function of major metabolic organs such as adipose at various physiological and pathological conditions. The projects in Dr Lei’s laboratory are Interdisciplinary, so the selected candidate will conduct basic and translational research at the interface between metabolic physiology, molecular biology, and computational analysis. The job scope includes but is not limited to:
• Conceptualise new ideas and develop plans for independent research
• Perform experiments and generate solid data.
• Write research papers, present research outcomes and develop collaborations with local and international researchers.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. and a strong background in RNA molecular biology and/or Metabolic Physiology, with a proven track record in the form of publications.
