Job description:

As German Research Center for Environmental Health, Helmholtz Zentrum München pursues the goal of developing personalized medical approaches for the prevention and therapy of major common diseases such as diabetes mellitus, allergies and lung diseases. To achieve this, it investigates the interaction of genetics, environmental factors and lifestyle.


The Institute of Health Economics and Health Care Management analyzes approaches to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of health care. Using empirical methods, we investigate economic, socioeconomic and management issues as well as new technologies at the level of health systems and populations.

You will


concept, plan and conduct research activities in ongoing and new projects and develop your own research portfolio based on your PhD in the research field of the groupcontribute with your expertise and knowledge to existing national and international collaborations and projects or/and initiate new onhave the opportunity to use data from a large population-based research platform (KORA) or actively shape the data collection process of future survey roundshave the opportunity to join the German Center for Diabetes Research and benefit from the respective resources and networkssupervise master and PhD students

Your Qualifications


Profound expertise in empirical analyses, health economic modelling, or evidence synthesisGood track record in the Area of ​​empirical data analysis, decision analysis / modeling or evidence synthesisPrevious experience in the field of non communicable diseaseExperience in leading or willingness to lead projectsTeam – oriented working style and passion for work in a multidisciplinary team
