A funded postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Dilek Colak through the Brain and Mind Research Institute at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York, NY.

Using patient-derived stem cells, you will study the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases. Specifically, you will explore astrocyte and microglia interactions. The study will involve wide range of techniques including stem cell culture, astrocyte differentiation, microglia differentiation, cerebral organoid generation, histology, cell transplantation into postnatal/adult mouse brain.

You must have experience in neuroscience and be in possession of a PhD. Please DO NOT APPLY if you do not have experience in AT LEAST ONE of the following: neuroscience, stem cell cultures, neuronal cultures, astrocyte cultures or microglia cultures.
