Postdoc (m/f/d)

A member of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers, the HZDR employs about 1,200 people. The Center’s focus is on interdisciplinary research in the areas energy, health and matter.

The Institute of Radiopharmaceutical Cancer Research is engaged in Radiopharmaceutical Cancer Research. Chemical, biological and physical working groups work together to increase the knowledge in the scopes of Molecular Imaging and Tumor Therapy.

As part of the Institute, the Department of Radioimmunology invites applications as Postdoc (m/f/d).

The position will be available as soon as possible. The employment contract is limited to two years.

The ultimate goal of the project is to develop a novel biotechnological approach to perform immunoassays, relying on active involvement of miniaturised biosensors in microfluidic chips. Bioelectronic aspect including assays in fluidics is exected to be realized by the succesful candidate.


# design of the microfluidic chip for realization of both, molecular and cell based tests
# design of the biomolecular assays involving the nanomaterials based sensor device in lab on chip format
# development of the platform with the (bio-)electronic interface for data acquisition and signal processing


# PhD with the background in physics, (bio-) nanotechnology or electrical engineering
# micro and nanofabrication/Sensor development
# programming skills are very welcome
# ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment
