Postdoc Fellow – Molecular Oncology
Drs. Mark Alexandrow and Damon Reed are seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Fellow to study innovative molecular targets for cancer treatment. The project will focus on sarcomas and the role of the DNA replication machinery in cancer treatment. Our lab is part of the Molecular Oncology Department at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL.
The Ideal Candidate:
Candidate should have an understanding of cancer at the biochemical and biological levels, and possess basic skills in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology approaches. An interest in DNA replication is a plus. Excellent speaking and writing abilities are also required.
The researcher will be responsible for performing cell-based and biochemical experiments. Will be required to formulate results in a clear manner, and present findings in group meetings or institution-wide seminars, and in peer-reviewed publications. The candidate will also be encouraged to write grants/fellowships, and will receive mentorship in this process.
Credentials and Qualifications:
M.D. or Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Cancer Biology, or related discipline with laboratory research experience. Preference will be given to a Postdoc candidate with 2-3 years’ experience.
