Post Doctoral Fellow (Human Genetics, Liu Jianjun’s Lab)
We are inviting applications for post-doctoral research fellow position in Prof Jianjun Liu’s lab at the Genome Institute of Singapore.
Successful candidate will join a competitive research program on human genetics with a focus on studying the genetic bases of complex diseases and related phenotypes.
The research scope and interest of diseases are broad, including cancers, immune and imflammatory diseases, infectious diseases, cardiovascular diseases as well as pharmcogenomics. Besides long-term research activities on the discovery of disease loci through GWAS, the group is currently working on large-scale whole genome sequencing (WGS) analysis, such as SG10K project where 10,000 Singaporean individuals are being analyzed by whole genome sequencing (WGS) (www.biorxiv.org/content/early/2018/08/11/390070).
The group is also exploring electronic medical record (EMR)-based genomic analysis where EMR information and genomic data will be integrated to advance understanding of disease development, progression and treatment outcome. As a member of our collaborative research group, each candidate will lead independent research in these areas, particularly on developing new analytical strategies and methods for large-scale high dimensional genomic data analysis.
The Genome Institute of Singapore offers a competitive salary and a complete benefits package that ensures a very high living standard in one of the most modern cities in the world.
