The successful candidate will work with a diverse team of researchers that focus on developing novel strategies to treat human health including strategies focused on engineering the gut microbiome.
Candidates must have experience in:
- An understanding of Lactobacillus physiology
- Metabolic engineering of Lactobacillus
- State-of-the-art genome editing methods
Preference given to those candidate with additional experience in:
- High throughput gene assembly
- Metabolic modelling
- Strain/enzyme rational or random evolution principles
- Building/designing bio-sensors
The position requires a Ph.D. in microbiology, molecular biology, biochemical engineering or related discipline. The initial appointment term is for a year with the possibility of longer term extension. Interested candidates should send their CV with at least two references to: email@example.com and use subject: Ref:MBD2019.
