The Precision Institute of Immunology at the Icahn School of Medicine (PRIISM) in New York invites applications for tenure-track positions at all faculty ranks. We are looking for scientists addressing important questions in immunology, including both basic and translational immunologists as well as computational immunologists. Particular areas of interest are immune oncology, inflammatory disease, tissue immunology, and immunogenomics. We are also interested in recruiting individuals whose research is focused on the development of new technologies and methodologies, including computational approaches, directed towards immunology research and improved immunotherapies.
The candidate will join an outstanding team of immunologists with leading expertise in a broad range of areas, including cancer immunology, innate immunity, mucosal immunology, immunogenomics, allergy, microbiome, inflammatory disease, and clinical immunotherapy. The PrIISM philosophy is highly geared towards collaboration, inclusion, and cross-disciplinary interactions, particularly between basic scientists and clinicians, and we provide strong support to junior scientists. In addition, PRIISM is a part of the Mount Sinai Medical Center, which is one of largest hospital systems in the United States, and the Icahn School of Medicine, which includes outstanding departments in oncological sciences, stem cell biology, and experimental therapeutics, and over 5,000 faculty. The highly integrated structure of Mount Sinai’s departments, institutes and clinical divisions provide a unique environment for scientific and medical collaborations that foster an ideal atmosphere for innovations aimed at addressing 21st century biomedical challenges.
The position also offers the opportunity to recruit exceptional graduate and medical students with strong interests in immunology, microbiology, cancer, and neuroscience. Candidates must have a Ph.D., M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or an equivalent doctoral degree, and evidence of a creative, collegial and exceptional research track record.
