GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung in Darmstadt operates one of the leading particle accelerators for science. In the next few years, the new FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research) one of the world’s largest research projects, will be built in international cooperation. Your duties:

Maintenance of the MS-Project plans for the FAIR project regarding time schedule, resources and costs  Taking the responsibility for a planning-specific task area  Help to solve planning problems with the work-package leaders and sub-project leadersParticipation in preparing reports on project structure, project planning, project status, and project steeringSupport for project-planning quality management for the continuous optimization of the project  Creation and maintenance of documentation e.g. for work processes  Project supporting tasks in the project planning group


Your Profile:

Completed degree in the fields of economics, nature sciences or engineering (Bachelor / Master / Diplom), or a comparable qualification / professional experience in project management. Graduates are also welcomeAffinity for complex projects and technical issuesKnowledge of standard methods and tools in project managementPM certificate will be a plusExperience in completing projects and in scheduling managementGerman and English (both written and oral)Knowledge about MS-Project and MS-Excel; knowledge of VBA will be a plusEndurance and passion with complex and dynamic tasks in the teamQuick thinking


You are working detail-oriented and have distinct communication skills, a confident manner and social competence. Team work skills and solution-oriented working are mandatory criteria.

We offer an initial employment contract of 5 years. Salary is equivalent to that for public employees as specified in the collective agreement for public employees (TVöD Bund).
