Job description:

As German Research Center for Environmental Health, Helmholtz Zentrum München pursues the goal of developing personalized medical approaches for the prevention and therapy of major common diseases such as diabetes mellitus, allergies and lung diseases. To achieve this, it investigates the interaction of genetics, environmental factors and lifestyle.

Job Description


You will establish a 3D cell culture model on a microfluidic chip platform for studying the differentiation of human inducible pluripotent stem cells into endocrine tissueYou will use confocal microscopy to visualize proteins and mRNA in context of the 3D cell culture, as well as single cell sequencingThe established workflows will be used to set up a high throughput screen for revealing cell-cell communication events during simulated progression of diabetes on chip

Your Qualifications


You hold a university degree in either biochemistry, biophysics or bioengineering (Master / Diploma)Very good skills in spoken and written GermanYou are highly organized, and can work on complex problems at the interface of biochemistry and bioengineeringYou are willing to work in an international team and are a reliable and responsible personalityThe knowledge of a programming language is an advantage
