The Leibniz-Institut für Analytische Wissenschaften – ISAS – e. In the group Proteomics in the department Bioanalytics at our location in Dortmund we invite applications for a

PhD position (m/f/d) – Clinical Proteomics

You will be responsible for
• Developing and standardizing mass spectrometric workflows to quantify proteins from body fluids and tissue samples.
• Miniaturization of above mentioned workflows to match with imitated biopsy materials.
• Enrichment and quantification of post translationally modified proteins from tissue samples
• Development of strategies to integrate data from lipidomics and metabolomics experiments
• Data analysis and reporting of results, including publication and presentation at national and international conferences
• Communication of project status and results with collaboration partners at University hospital Essen) WTZ & WHGZ

Your profile
• Masters, Diploma or equivalent degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or related subjects.
• Good understanding of analytical chemistry and aspects of compounds quantification particularly in the context of omics research.
• Experience with mass spectrometric equipment, especially high resolution mass spectrometry, nano and micro chromatography.

The salary will be according to the German TV. The part-time position (65%) is offered for 3,5 years. The position is available immediately. The time limitation of the contract is based on the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (WissZeitVG).
