The University of Freiburg offers
1 PhD Position
in the field of Experiments at XUV/X-ray Free-Electron Lasers.
The experimental project aims at studying molecular and cluster beams at free-electron lasers. The dynamics upon excitation and ionization of pure and doped rare-gas clusters, as well as molecules and molecular clusters will be probed on femtosecond time scales for a fundamental understanding of the dynamics of processes related to chemical reactivity, ionization and plasma formation. We are looking for excellent MSc graduates with a strong background in experimental Atomic and Molecular Physics or Physical Chemistry. Experience at free-electron laser facilities and with molecular and
cluster beam methods are advantageous.
Documents should be sent via email as a single pdf-file including a letter of motivation (max. 1 page), a CV, a list of publications (if available), certificates of the university degree (with grades) and transcripts of record, master/diploma certificate (with grades) and the contact details of at least two referees. Search will start immediately until the position is filled.
