The research group of Dr. Natalia Kononenko at the CECAD Excellence Center, University of Cologne is seeking applications for a full-time
PhD position (f/m)
to be employed under a limited-time contract of 3 years (TV-L13, 65%)
We are seeking an open-minded and very enterprising personality, interested to work in a collaborative research group focusing on the role of autophagy in brain aging and neurodegeneration. Ideal candidates should possess a good scientific appetite and a willingness to succeed! Research questions in our lab are addressed using cutting-edge biology approaches (including CRISPR/Cas9 technologies, transgenic mouse models, in-vivo neuroanatomy techniques and live imaging).
Absolute Requirement: A Masters degree in molecular and cellular neuroscience or cell biology. The successful candidate is fluent in spoken and written English and has experience with mouse work.
The tentative start is 01.01.2020. The application deadline is 15.09.2019.
