Open Rank Professorship in Cardiac Physiology (tenure track assistant professorship, associate professorship or full professorship) as of August 1, 2020 at the Institute of Physiology
We are seeking candidates conducting basic research in the field of cardiac physiology. We are looking for a person with a training in human medicine who, in addition to high professional and scientific competence, can demonstrate an appropriate international reputation and networking.
The Institute of Physiology is heavily involved in teaching medical students and the candidate should make a significant contribution to this mission. Proficiency in written and spoken German language is therefore required. A strong commitment to the promotion of young scientists is essential.
Proven management and leadership experience are further requirements. The habilitation or an equivalent academic research output is expected.
The University of Bern is committed to increase the proportion of women in its teaching staff and therefore particularly encourages applications from interested female candidates. This position will be advertised within the framework of a job-sharing opportunity.
