Multiple Faculty Positions in Molecular and Cell Biology
The Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Merced is seeking applicants for four faculty positions: (1) Full Professor (tenured) of Immunology and Infectious Disease, (2) Assistant Professor (tenure-track) of Microbiology, (3) Assistant Professor (tenure-track) of Computational Biology, and (4) Assistant Professor (tenure-track) of Physiology. We expect outstanding scholars to: (a) establish and maintain a creative and productive research program, (b) contribute to the existing research programs within MCB and other departments at UC Merced, © participate actively in the development of innovative interdisciplinary programs and research, (d) teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and (e) eagerly contribute to our department’s, school’s, and university’s mission of enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. The faculty within the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology has been very successful at attracting funding from primarily NIH, but also NSF, HHMI, and USDA among others, and many state-funding agencies with programs unique for UC faculty.

Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and UC Academic salary scales.
