Information about the role:
The King’s College London British Heart Foundation Centre of Research Excellence and the School of Cardiovascular Medicine & Sciences is looking to appoint two non-clinical lecturers to work in its outstanding multi-disciplinary environment. Our community of world-renowned researchers and educators have access to an excellent range of core facilities and expertise, including state-of-the-art high-throughput screening, multimodality in vivo imaging, proteomics, biophysics and structural biology. As part of King’s Health Partners, we have an excellent environment for basic-clinical interaction and a strong focus on mentoring and career development.
The successful applicants will have a track record of independent cardiovascular research and education including internationally recognised publications and a track record of obtaining external funding as PI or at Fellow level. We are particularly interested in applications from candidates with experience in one or more of the following approaches to research:
- an integrative approach to cardiac or vascular disease (e.g. experimental disease models),
- basic biology relevant to cardiovascular disease (e.g. gene regulation, single-cell RNA seq approaches)
- iPSC-based disease modelling
