Dr. Han lab in the Developmental Neurobiology Department at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking a research technologist to join our dynamic team studying mechanisms of brain development, neurodevelopmental disorders, and brain tumors. The lab recently revealed a key pathway that promotes the expansion and folding of the neocortex, the center for superior human cognitive abilities. Currently, we are elucidating underlying molecular/cellular mechanisms, and how alterations in such mechanisms lead to neurodevelopmental disorders and brain tumors.

The position will expose you to cutting-edge approaches such as pluripotent stem cell culture, brain organoids, CRISPR/Cas9, single-cell sequencing, and in utero surgeries in a world-leading institution in an intellectually stimulating environment. Our laboratory is highly collaborative and the technologist would be working closely with other members in the lab. We are looking for a highly motivated person, who is curious about mechanisms of brain development and diseases. An ideal candidate would have experience in basic laboratory skills and experience working with rodents in laboratory settings.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific area is required.
