The MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) is a world leader in biological research, with an expanding scientific programme dedicated to understanding gene function in health and disease. We are seeking a highly motivated and independent Postdoctoral Scientist, to work as part of a small, highly interactive team in the group of Dr Radu Aricescu, to define the molecular architecture of neurotransmitter receptors and neuronal synapses, and to understand neurotransmission, synaptic plasticity and cognitive functions in structural terms. The successful candidate will have expertise in the biochemistry and structural biology of eukaryotic membrane proteins and ion channel electrophysiology.

You should have a PhD and significant relevant experience. Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and in a group are essential.
