Reference No. EM 2019/5The Department Methods for Characterization of Transport Phenomena in Energy Materialsis looking for Instrument Scientist (m/f/d) at the X-ray Spectrometer PEAXIS at BESSY II Taskssupport of international users at the RIXS spectrometer PEAXIS maintenance and further development of PEAXISsoftware development for instrument control and data analysis  accomplishment of a successful research program employing soft X-ray scattering experiments at PEAXIS publication of research results in peer-reviewed scientific journals
Requirementsstrong experimental background in solid state physicsexperimental experience with inelastic photon scattering and / or photoelectron spectroscopygood software programming and coding skills ability to work with guest researchers and technical support groupsgood communication skills and team working abilitiescontact details of at least two references should be provided
