Who we are: Fondazione Banca dei Tessuti di Treviso (FBTV) is an Italian human tissue bank which is in charge to procure, process, storage and distribute homologous tissues for transplant in humans. FBTV is located in Veneto Region, in the North of Italy.

Tissues managed by FBTV are cardiac homografts, vascular segments, amniotic membrane and osteo-tendinous tissues (bone and tendon). Tissues are retrieved from living and multi-tissue donors.

Among FBTV tasks there is the promotion of research and studies in the field of surgery and transplantation/implantation, also in partnership with Universities, International Institutes and Health Authorities.

Profile: We are currently seeking an innovative Research Specialist with a strong specific background to work on freeze-dried human tissues projects. The individual will work in FBTV laboratories in designing and implementing project seeking to set up and validate freeze-drying process in human tissues. The candidate will also facilitate development of new project areas in the lab. The best candidates should have a strong background in bone tissues and freeze-drying process, an innate desire for continuous learning and curiosity-driven exploration, enjoy working with others, and have a commitment to rigorous, critical thinking. Applicants should be ambitious, highly motivated, and creative.

A Degree in Biology/Biotechnology/Medical Sciences is required. The candidate must be fluent in English.
