Head of Breeding (m/f/d) Tropical Corn

Then please join us at the earliest possibility as Head of Breeding (m/f/d) Tropical Corn within KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA on a full-time basis with an office in Germany or Brazil.
Your core responsibilities and tasks:
Management of the Corn Breeding Programs for the Sub/tropical areas in South America and Asia
Secure the development of a competitive product portfolio for the relevant tropical markets
Further develop and optimize the tropical corn breeding and research program using state-of-the-art technologies
Translate and implement the agreed business unit strategy into an efficient breeding and research program
Drive the integration and collaboration between Marketing, Production and Breeding
Planning of operational budgets and investments for the product development of tropical corn
Secure that Breeding and Research operations are in full alignment with required legal requirements
Represent KWS (R&D) positions in scientific and professional associations
Secure appropriate IP protection and defense for KWS varieties and inventions
Academic degree (PhD) with proven scientific excellence and proven practical experience in Corn Breeding
Experience in managing breeding and/or research programs and service functions
Strong leadership and people management skills Good organizational and analytical skills and excellent team player
Strong entrepreneurial and strategic mindset
Excellent communication skills and ability to address different audiences
Fluently spoken and written English
Willingness to travel international in the tropics (focus South America & Asia) as well as to Germany (Einbeck)
