MRC Laboratory for Molecular Cell Biology at UCL, London, UK
Group Leader Positions
The MRC Laboratory for Molecular Cell Biology is an internationally renowned, multidisciplinary, molecular and cell biology institute situated in the heart of London at University College London (http://www.ucl.ac.uk/lmcb). LMCB scientists explore the dynamic control of cells and tissues during development, homeostasis, regeneration and disease using a range of model organisms and state-of-the art molecular and imaging technologies. Current research themes include tissue biology, cell morphogenesis, organisation and dynamics, gene transcription and the physics of living systems.
We are currently inviting expressions of interest from outstanding scientists for tenure-track junior group leader positions at the LMCB. Successful candidates would be expected to develop a cutting-edge research programme to tackle important unsolved problems in biosciences and would be offered a start-up package, access to excellent in-house facilities (https://www.ucl.ac.uk/lmcb/core-facilities) and mentoring and support to gain further research support for their laboratories. This is an excellent opportunity to launch an innovative research programme as an independent group leader in a vibrant research institute with excellent core facilities and a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Please send your CV, a letter of intent and a brief (2-page) outline of your future research plans to Rachel Hamilton at Rachel.firstname.lastname@example.org. Informal enquiries may be directed to any of the Institute’s group leaders. Closing date is 31st December, 2019.
