Salary: Grade 5: £25,482 - £30,395 p.a.

We have an exciting opportunity for a new support post within our research grants and contracts team. The Oxford Grants Assistant will provide administrative support to all Oxford-based research groups covering a wide range of activities, including, the preparation of grant applications, post-award grant management, contract management, dealing with sponsors, reporting and audit preparation and budgeting.

This is an excellent opportunity for the Oxford Grants Assistant to work alongside researchers at the leading edge of science and contribute towards providing detailed advice and information on grants administration. Working within the dynamic grants team, the Oxford Grants Assistant will report to the Oxford Grants Officer, with guidance and support available from the Research Grants and Contracts Manager and other Grants Officers and Assistants. The Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health has seen rapid growth in research and teaching activities, and this new role is required to fulfil the expanding Oxford portfolio, providing you with a real opportunity to make a valuable contribution.

As the Oxford Grants Assistant, you will have strong numeracy skills, having worked in financial administration previously. You will be highly organised, with good attention to detail and be able to work under pressure. Good communication and interpersonal skills, and a high level of discretion, is essential. Administrative experience in Higher Education, or a similar field, is ideal.
