The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tübingen (Institute for General Practice and Interprofessional Care (IfAV)) and the Robert Bosch Health Campus Stuttgart (Robert Bosch Center for Tumor Diseases (RBCT)) invite applications for a position as

Full Professor (W3) of Research on Complementary Medicine

available immediately as employee.

The successful candidate is expected to develop the field of research on Complementary Medicine with an interdisciplinary approach and to represent it in an internationally visible manner. She/he will be required to focus in particular on potential mechanisms and interactions of Complementary Medicine in common diseases (e. g. chronic pain, oncological diseases, chronic inflammatory diseases). Cooperation with existing research alliances in this field (e. g. AZKIM (Academic Center for Complementary & Integrative Medicine)) and the CCC Tübingen-Stuttgart is expected.

Candidates should be internationally recognized and demonstrate excellence in research and teaching.

Committed and active participation in teaching within the different programs of the Faculty of Medicine is expected.

This appointment is made as an endowed professorship within the framework of a cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Medicine / University Hospital Tübingen with the Robert Bosch Krankenhaus / Robert-Bosch Gesellschaft für medizinische Forschung GmbH.

Required qualifications include a PhD or equivalent international degree and postdoctoral qualifications equivalent to the requirements for tenure. This includes evidence of teaching effectiveness. The call is directed at natural scientists, social scientists as well as physician-scientists with expertise in clinical trials, epidemiology or health services research. The latter may take on duties in patient care.
