Position Announcement

Organic Recycling Research Institute (Suzhou), China Agricultural University (ORICAU) announces five distinguished associate or full professor and eight postdoctoral fellow positions immediately available.

Organic Recycling Research Institute (Suzhou)?China Agricultural University (ORICAU) located in the beautiful Suzhou City is newly established in 2018 under the support of China Agricultural University and Suzhou government. The institute cultivates innovative scientific and technological inquiries, solves real world challenges, and provides experiential training in an interdisciplinary setting with global impacts. The institute actively advances interdisciplinary research and development in treatment and utilization of organic resources. The positions will be immediately available and will be the employees of China Agricultural University.

A.   “Distinguished associate or full tenure track professors” of China Agricultural University (5 positions)

Requirement:

1.    PhD or equivalent in ecology, environmental engineering, machinery manufacturing and automation, plant nutrition or other related disciplines.

2.    Previous work experience in internationally recognized universities or institutes.

3.    Demonstrated record of academic accomplishments including publications in high-rank peer reviewed journals. Excellent English proficiency in writing and speaking.

4.    Demonstrated leadership and coordination skills.

5.    Successful candidates will work in the disciplines of (a) biotransformation of organic waste; (b) treatment of leachate and odor gases during aerobic fermentation; © designing and manufacture of smart equipment for aerobic fermentation; and or (d) development of value-added products derived from aerobic fermentation. Successful candidates are expected to develop a nationally and internationally competitive research programs with sustainable grants.

 

Remuneration package:

Tenure track associate or full-professor of China Agricultural University, basic annual salary 550K RMB plus awards for research achievements. The initial appointment will be three years, renewable upon performance and accomplishments. The institute will support up to two postdoctoral fellows, assists grant applications and offers CAU standard fringe benefits, medical coverages, and housing benefits. The institute is well equipped and funded.

 

B.   Postdoctoral fellow (8 positions)

Qualifications

1.    PhD or equivalent in ecology, environmental engineering, machinery manufacturing and automation, plant nutrition or related area.

2.    Competent in science, publications in high-rank peer reviewed journals. Fluent in written and spoken English.

3.    Successful candidates will work in the disciplines of (a) biotransformation of organic waste; (b) treatment of leachate and odor gases during aerobic fermentation; © designing and manufacture of smart equipment for aerobic fermentation; and or (d) development of value-added products derived from aerobic fermentation.

 

Remuneration package includes an annual salary of 300K RMB with standard CAU fringe benefits. There will be opportunities to supervise graduate students. The initial appointment will be three years, renewable upon performance and accomplishments. Candidates having demonstrated outstanding achievements can be tenured.
